Wilbur Thomas Jesson, Jr., 65, of Hagerstown, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 surrounded by loving family at his home.
Born on March 27, 1956 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late June Lorraine (Gordon) and Wilbur Thomas Jesson, Sr.
Wilbur graduated from South Hagerstown High School, class of 1974.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corp and U.S. Army.
After his Military service he was employed by the Department of the Army until his retirement, as a Workleader of Heavy Modile Equipment Repairers.
Wilbur was a member of The Good Shepherd Ministries in Hagerstown, Funkstown American Legion, Post 211, and B.P.O.Elks Lodge 378. He enjoyed model railroading and pistol shooting.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Ruth Louise Jesson, Son; Wilbur Thomas Jesson, III and wife Rachel of Hagerstown, Daughter; Misti Anne Michael and husband Andrew of Big Pool, Grandchildren; Cole and Cheyenne Jesson, and Kate, Jack and Jase Michael, Brother in law Roger Asper and Sister in law Jett Asper.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 1PM at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown with Pastor Jeff Casto officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery, Hagerstown.
Family will receive friends two hours prior.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Washington County, 747 Northern Ave., Hagerstown, MD 21742.
