William (Bill) Turner, 87, of Hagerstown, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, May 24, 2024. Born on October 7, 1936, in Williamsport, MD, he was the son of the late Richardson and Catherine (Banzhoff) Turner.
In addition to his parents, Bill was predeceased by his brothers, Greg Turner, and Ned Turner.
His life was marked by his passion for duckpin bowling, a sport in which he excelled to the point of setting a world record. His love for gardening was evident in the bountiful tomato plants he nurtured with care. Bill's dedication to his work was undeniable, culminating in a 45-year stellar career at Mack Truck from which he retired to spend more time with his loved ones.
He leaves behind his beloved wife of 52 years, Bonnie Turner, his children; Jamie Turner, Bill Turner, Ronda (Dusing) Rieker, Robin Turner, and Michelle (Turner) Smith. His legacy also lives on through his siblings, Phillip Turner, Veronica (Ronnie) Bragunier, and Lana Brockway, as well as a cherished grandchild Kayla (Demosky)Todd and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.
