Willis Wayne Kesselring (75), of Hagerstown Maryland passed away September 30, 2024 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore Maryland. Born February 26, 1949 in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late James W. and Pauline E. Kesselring. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, James Kesselring. Wayne, as he preferred to be called, is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Carolyn D. Kesselring. He is also survived by his daughter Jill E. Hannon and her husband Richard Hannon, his daughter Valerie D. Cosens, and his daughter Rachel D. Loken and her husband Jeffrey. He is also survived by his beautiful grandchildren, Ava Cosens, Everly Loken, Camden Loken, Palmer Loken and Jackson Loken as well as his great nephew Zachary Wright, nephews Kyle and Kasey Kesselring and neices Kristy Bowers and Korby Moss-Sanders.Wayne was a 1967 graduate of South Hagerstown High School. He was member of Original Christian Church and was a member of the Western Maryland Hunting Club, AC Hunting Club and the NRA. Wayne retired from Certainteed in Williamsport Maryland where he was a supervisor in the Blending Department or 49 1/2 years.Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors. He enjoyed all types of music, Willie Nelson, Stevie Nick's and anything Blue Grass were his favorites. He liked classic cars and was a huge history buff.Nothing meant more to Wayne than his family. He was a fierce protector of those he loved. He was always there to help ones in need. He was calm and stoic, yet funny and kind, big and strong on the outside but a true teddy bear inside.At Wayne's request, there will be no funeral services. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
