Wilma Geraldine Kepler

Today we gather to remember and celebrate the life of Wilma Kepler, a beloved resident of Hagerstown, Maryland, who sadly left us on Saturday, December 23, 2023, peacefully at Meritus Medical.

Born on October 25, 1944, in Hagerstown, MD.  Wilma was the cherished daughter of the late William and Gladys Nalley. Her life journey was a testament to their love, guidance, and values.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by many family members. Their memories live on in our hearts, just as Wilma’s will. The bond they shared in life continues beyond, a testament to the enduring nature of love and kinship.

Wilma was a proud graduate of North Hagerstown High in 1962. She was a skilled cook and an extraordinary homemaker for 62 years. She found joy in gathering with family for get-togethers and creating games that all could enjoy. Her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was immeasurable.

She leaves behind her husband, Ray Kepler, her daughter Demeta Matlack and husband Charles, Kim Thomas and partner Will Anderson, siblings Ronald Nalley, Glenda Frazee, and William Nalley. Her legacy continues with her grandchildren Joshua Footen and wife Lacey, Joel Footen and wife Kelly, Aaron Matlack, Kiara Anderson, and Will Anderson, as well as her great-grandchildren Payton, Claria, Caroline, Charlie, and Cooper Footen.

As we remember Wilma today, let's celebrate her life, her love for her family, and all the moments that made her the wonderful woman we knew. A memorial service to honor her will be scheduled at a later date.
